Sales Manager, Paint & Coating
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role, located in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some remote work, for a Sales Manager in the Paint & Coating industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities, including client management, business development, and market analysis.
Responsible for market expansion and development in the North or South American regions including Brazil and Mexico etc. with a focus on paints and coatings, construction materials, adhesives, or inks.
He or She will be responsible for business development and sales including pre-sales or after-sales activities in specialty chemicals, including a series of products like bentonite clay.
Closely cooperate with company objectives to achieve successful product market promotion and annual sales targets
Deliver sales operating plan by growing existing accounts and actively develop distributors within the North or South American regions, formulating localized market models and sales strategies
Identify and define new market opportunities to drive growth, actively support team annual goals and conduct sales negotiation and conclude contracts with customers
Assist in organizing trade shows and other business activities in the Americas, participating in promotional material creation and online marketing efforts
Collaborate on implementing a reliable supply strategy and optimize gross margin and sales volume by price settling, terms, product offers and product placement
Good market analysis of customers, competitors, new technologies and trends
Demonstrate strong public relations skills towards clients and acute business acumen
Qualifications
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the Paint & Coating industry
Knowledge of market trends and customer needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel up to 50-60%
